Resolved, That immediate action be taken at the Church Center to strengthen and enhance the existing linkage program by:
- Developing an expanded definition of the linkage role.
- Rewriting job descriptions to include the linkage role as a top priority.
- Assuring that the budget reflect the financial needs of an expanded linkage program.
- Evaluating current responsibilities and where necessary, reassigning jobs of staff to assure that linkage role can be effectively performed.
- Developing a plan that assures communication between and among linkage staff.
- Exploring and improving relationship between linkage staff and Parish Services.
- Requesting that the Presiding Bishop write to all bishops explaining this new emphasis on the linkage role resulting from the diocesan visits and requesting their cooperation.
- Sending out a news release on this program to all diocesan communicators for inclusion in the diocesan newspapers.
