Resolved, That the Executive Council decries the efforts of state legislatures to restrict access to voting and urges all dioceses particularly those dioceses in states whose legislatures are actively pursuing legislation that is specifically designed to restrict access to voting, to advocate with the advice of the Office of Government Relations, for equal access to vote; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council meeting in Linthicum Heights, MD calls upon the Church to advocate for the provisions in H.R 4, or similar legislation, The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. |
