Whereas, Members of the Metropolitan Council for Cuba, Archbishop Scott, Bishop Edmondson, and Bishop Shirley met in Havana with the Diocesan Council on/Friday, May 26, 1978 under the chairmanship of Bishop Gonzales, and we have received reports of that meeting from Bishop Shirley and David Chaplin; therefore be it Resolved, That the Executive Council affirm its Partnership in Mission with the Episcopal Church of Cuba (Anglican Diocese) and ask the Secretary of this Council to assure them of our continued joy for the witness which they are making in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. |
