Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Secretary of the General Convention prepare and send a memorandum on behalf of the Executive Council to each domestic diocese, directed to its Deployment Officer or the Chair of its Diocesan Personnel Committee, to:

(1) Inform them of the action taken by the 73rd General Convention on D015;

(2) Commend to each diocese and its congregations the text of this resolution and its attached "Principles and Recommended Guidelines;"

(3) Extend to any diocese that does not have a formal personnel policy manual the availability of assistance from the Department of Human Resources at the Episcopal Church Center to help them create such a policy manual. This offer of assistance should identify an ECC-HR staff liaison and contact information; and

(4) Request that the individual receiving the communication complete and return to the General Convention Office a brief questionnaire so that Executive Council can fulfill its reporting obligation to the 74th General Convention.
