The House of Bishops Committee on Church Pension Fund presented its Report #11 on Resolution B002 (Health and Lay Pension Plans) and moved the resolution, recommending rejection.
Original Text of Resolution
(B002)
Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That the 77th General Convention extend the deadline for implementation of both the lay employee pension system and denominational health plan to January 2016; and be it further
Resolved, That the 77th General Convention amend the provisions for the lay employee pension system (as adopted in GC2009 - A138) to include the following provision:
"Each diocese has the right to make decisions on the participation of schools, day care facilities, and other diocesan institutions in the lay employee pension system"; and be it further
Resolved, That the 77th General Convention allow dioceses to make provisions for multi-year, phase-in programs for the lay employee pension system, for both parishes and other institutions subject to the authority of this church, to be determined by and in consultation with those parishes and institutions subject to the authority of this church seeking such provisions.
