(B011)

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That Canon III.7.10(b) be amended as follows:

Two years from admission as a Candidate, and one year from ordination to the Diaconate, unless the Bishop, for urgent reasons fully stated, with the advice and consent of the Standing Committee, shall shorten the time. In no case shall a Deacon in training for priesthood be ordained Priest within one year from admission as a Candidate for Holy Orders, nor less than six months from ordination to the Diaconate.

One year from ordination to the Diaconate, unless the Bishop, with the advice and consent of the Standing Committee, shall shorten the time. When it is deemed in the best interest of diocesan missionary strategy, this period may be shortened to no less than one day.
