Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That dioceses which do not pay or arrange to pay their askings and/or assessments in any triennium will have the number of their deputies to the General Convention reduced in proportion to their actual payments averaged over three years. Those dioceses that pay up to 25% of their askings and/or assessments will be represented by one deputy, those paying up to 50% by two deputies, those paying up to 75% by four deputies, provided that arrangements are made in advance to make up the full assessment within the following triennium; and be it further

Resolved, That the department of program and budget and other appropriate departments and committees shall assist any such dioceses to understand and to correct the financial problem promptly with the first inability of any diocese to accept and pay the full asking.

Committee No. 6 on Structure presented its Report #15 on Resolution D088 (Diocesan Assessments/ Askings) and moved the resolution, recommending rejection.
