Whereas, Virginia Ram was a pioneer in the field of Hispanic Ministries, to which she gave powerful witness for over thirty years; and

Whereas, she was a prominent lay leader in the Diocese of Los Angeles and in the Province of the Pacific; and

Whereas, she served the National Church as a member of the Executive Council; therefore be it

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That this General Convention recognize the loss to the Church in the death of Virginia Ram, and give thanks for her life and work in the Church at the local, diocesan, provincial and national levels.

The Committee on Privilege and Courtesy moved Resolution D177 (Virginia Ram).
