Resolved, That each Diocese which has not already done so be requested to establish a diocesan Stewardship Committee, to educate and encourage local congregations in matters of stewardship, to work with the national Stewardship Office and the Standing Commission on Stewardship for the continued strengthening of our witness to the world of our gratitude for God's bounty in our lives.

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That each Diocese be encouraged to establish a diocesan Stewardship Committee, to educate and encourage local congregations in matters of stewardship, to work with the national Stewardship Office and the Standing Commission on Stewardship for the continued strengthening of our witness to the world of our gratitude for God's bounty in our lives.
The Committee recommended adoption of the resolution as amended by the Committee.
Deputy Philip Masquellette of Texas proposed a further amendment to Resolution A-117.
