Friendship Press Resources on Feminism, Middle East

Friendship Press has released resources to combat women's oppression. The book We Belong Together: Churches in Solidarity with Women, edited by Sarah Cunningham, is a primer on feminist theology, language, ethics and understanding of self, faith and mission. The press also offers resources on feminism for youth and children in book, magazine, study guide and video formats.

Friendship Press has also released resources that spotlight churches in the Middle East. The book Angle of Vision: Christians in the Middle East gives a thumbnail history and survey of the five families of churches (Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant and Assyrian Church of the East), some of which trace their origin to the Apostle Paul. The video Celebration of Life uses live footage to tell what is happening in Middle East churches today, including interviews with Gabriel Habib, general secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches. A Map 'n' Facts is also available, showing the 16 nations and a timeline of events from ancient eras through the Gulf crisis.
