The Diocese of Ohio chose a river cruise to introduce Cleveland and some of the diocesan ministry to the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church when that body met there in mid-June. The three-hour cruise along the Cuyahoga River carried them through the historical and industrial heart of the city and offered a glimpse of the decline and resurgence of the region's economy. While many of the older industries, foundries and refineries have closed down or severely reduced operations, some new entrepreneurs have moved in to establish a commercial and entertainment center.
