The Rt. Rev. John E. Hines (center), Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, stands on the steps of a Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow with Archbishop Pitirin (right) and the Rev. Raymond Oppenheim (left), an Episcopal priest who is chaplain to Americans in Moscow. Bishop Hines described his nine-day trip to Russia as " rewarding" and as "opening up new relationships. " He also held informal and "very cordial" conversations with His Holiness Pimen, Patriarch of Moscow and of All Russia.
