The Rt. Rev. Dunstan Nsubuga, second from left, Bishop of Namirembe of
the Church of Uganda, recently visited the Episcopal Church Center in New York and
celebrated the eucharist in the Chapel of Christ the Lord. He thanked the people of
the United States for the generous help being given to the Church of Uganda during its
time of crisis. He said that after the brutal regime of Idi Amin, the people of Uganda
have embarked on a campaign to rebuild their broken and war-torn nation. With him
are the Rev. David B. Birney, left, staff officer for overseas personnel in the World
Mission office; the Rev. Samuel Van Culin, at the bishop's left, Executive for World
Mission in Church and Society; and the Rev. Richard Larom, right, of the Diocese of
Long Island, who, with his wife, will be departing soon for Uganda as missionaries.
