A trumpet fanfare by the Brass Ensemble of the U.S. Maritime Academy
at Kings Point, N. Y., signaled the start of the processions with which the service of
consecration of Charles Lee Burgreen as a bishop in the Episcopal Church was begun
and ended. Bishop Burgreen was consecrated at the Cathedral of the Incarnation,
Garden City, N.Y., to be Bishop for the Armed Forces in a service that combined
military panoply with the ancient ritual of the Church.
