Relaxing during an informal press briefing are, from left to right, the Most Rev. George Appleton, Archbishop in Jerusalem, the Rev. Ronald Metz, recently appointed missionary who will serve as the Archbishop's Administrative Assistant, and the Rev. Samuel Van Culin, a member of the staff of the Deputy for Overseas Relations whose area of responsibility includes the Jerusalem Archbishopric. The Rev. Mr. Metz, recently graduated from Berkeley Divinity School, New Haven, Conn., served as an executive with a Middle East Oil Company for a number of years before entering seminary. He and his wife will go to Jerusalem in early September.
