Bishop John Howe, secretary general of the Anglican Consultative Council, confers with Mrs. Marion Kelleran, Alexandria, Va., who was elected chairperson of the Council. Mrs. Kelleran, who recently retired as a professor at Virginia Theological Seminary, is a member of the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church. Some 60 bishops, priests, and lay persons from Anglican churches and provinces from around the world attended the second ACC meeting in Dublin, July 17 -27. The Council's members represent approximately 47 million baptized members of the 26 independent and autonomous Anglican churches.
