Leaders of the Society for the Preservation of the Book of Common Prayer (SPBCP) hold strategy meetings every Wednesday in their Nashville, Tenn. office. Now more than 17,000 strong, the SPBCP is opposed to the Trial Liturgies in "The Green Book." Members of the executive board of SPBCP (above 1. to r.) are Dr. Harold L. Weatherby, John V. Glass, Jr., Walter Sullivan, and Dr. John M. Aden. All are members of Vanderbilt University's English faculty.
