The Annunication by Daniel Bonnell is one of four paintings by the artist in Songs in Waiting. Mary is dressed in humility, wearing a rag-type gown; Gabriel is filled with awe at the story he must deliver; and Mary is cradled by two large hands that symbolize God. Bonnell is known for his Images of Christ series, and his art is featured in Alistair McGrath's The Christian Vision of God.
